Achievements:

Being able to turn paddling into a career, at 19 years old passing my Advance whitewater kayak assessment and then at 21 years old passing my Advance canoe leader assessment.

Future Plans...:

My aim is to work through more qualifications and paddle in more countries around the world. At the end of 2018 I will be heading out to Nepal to do some expedition kayaking . I would also love to return to Africa and paddle the big volume rivers out there and play on their huge waves again before the rivers are damned.

Best things about paddling:

Getting to go places and see things that people rarely get to see around the world and the people you meet along the way.

Best Boating Moment:

Running Rapid number 5 on the Zambezi a rapid which I grew up dreaming of running as a kid!

Who inspired you:

Growing up I was always watching videos of Benny Marr, Dane Jackson and Steve Fisher.

I thought passing my 5* before I was 21 was good but then Josh beat me. Each time I reflect how far I have come since i picked up a paddle I am proud of what I have achieved and how long I have avoided a 'proper job'.

Future Plans...:

I'm heading to New Zealand at the end of the year, planning a return to Chile in 2019 and dreaming of the Zam'. Also really stoked for a good UK season trying to venture to places and classics I haven't yet paddled.

Best things about paddling:

The brother/sisterhood you develop with your friends on the water, the internal pursuit of progression.

Best Boating Moment:

Living on the bank of the Upper Palguin for two weeks was totally stunning with daily evening laps.

Who inspired you:

The coaches that have shaped my paddling over the years and of course I grew up watching bomb flow and river roots so Evan Garcia, Anton Immler, Rush Sturges and Benny Marr.
