British Canoeing Coaching Courses
BC Paddlesport Instructor Award
Course aims – two day combined training and assessment. This is the first step on the British Canoeing coach ladder and is aimed to help support the aspirant instructor in introducing people into the world of paddlsport through fun games in a sheltered water environment using craft seemed suitable for first time experiences whether that's a sit on top kayak, open canoe or paddle board.
Before attending the Paddlesport Instructor Award the following pre-requisites need to be met:

Foundation Safety and Rescue Training course completed – You will need to be practiced at rescuing a range of crafts from yours ahead of the PIA course.

Valid British Canoeing membership.

Register for the course through British Canoeing, this will cost £45.

Be over 14 years of age at the time of the course.

BC Core Coach Training
Course aims – The core coach training is the entry point qualification and offers discipline specific pathways across all paddlesport disciplines. During this two day training course we will cover different approaches to coaching, how people learn and core coaching skills.
Pre requisites - Full home nation membership
Price includes Rapid Skills paying the BC admin fee of £20

BC Coach Discipline Specific Training - Sheltered Water
Course aims – This 2 day course looks at how and what you will be coaching in a sheltered water environment in kayak, canoe. We will look at how you coach technical and tactical skills and how to plan, deliver and review safe enjoyable sessions filled with progression.
Pre-requisites - Core Coach training, full home nation membership
Price includes Rapid Skills paying the BC admin fee of £20
