Arrival day:
We don't want you to worry that you'll miss your first day of paddling or be too tired to paddle after a long drive up to Scotland so we have a day where you can arrive at any point during the day and when you arrive the kettle will be boiled and cake ready to eat as you chat to your guide, sort out your kit and get settled in.
The Paddling:
4 days open canoeing down the river Spey in Scotland with 3 nights of wild camping as we make our journey from Aviemore to Spey Bay. This 60 mile long wilderness canoe journey through the stunning Scottish highlands will take your breathe away at every turn especially as we run this trip at the start of autumn when all the leaves are turning colour. You will be guided down by Joshua Telling, who will be able to teach you all the skills you need and more to get you safely down the river and for you to leave the trip with new skills to develop.

Accomodation:
Each night on the river we will be camping, with fires to keep us warm and entertained through the night. On your arrival day and the night before your departure day we will be staying in a bunkhouse in Aviemore, to make sure you get a good night sleep before your adventure begins and before your long drive home.

What will I need to bring?
You don't have to go out and buy the most expensive and latest camping or paddling gear to enjoy this journey. We will send you a full kit list when you sign up to the trip but here is a short over view of what you will need: warm clothes to wear on and off the river, dry bag, waterproofs, basic camping gear. If you have paddling gear like buoyancy aid, helmet, paddles or boat please feel free to bring them along with you. If you don't have any of this kit but want to attend this trip please let us know by emailing us before booking on.
Food and drink:
On the arrival day and the night before your departure day we will be staying next to a pub which serves delicious meals or there are facilities within the bunkhouse accommodation to cook your own meals. When on the river we will be cooking on open fires or gas stoves and prior to the trip we will decide as a group what we want to cook for breakfast, lunch and dinners as a group.
