SUP Adventures

Lake District - SUP & Yoga

2021 Trip dates:

– Saturday 19th to Monday 21st June 2021 - 5/8 spaces remaining

– Saturday 18th to Monday 20th September 2021 - 7/8 spaces remaining

Three days of paddling in the stunning Lake District. Over the three days we will paddle around five to six hours a day in various weather conditions. Whilst day one will be planned by your coach, the following two days will be led by you. Your coach will guide you in planning a safe paddling trip and on the final day your group will confidently plan and lead the days paddling.

Yoga with Happiest When Outdoors:

Yoga for paddlers, taught by an experienced paddler, for you, a paddler. Over the three days, there’ll be the opportunity to learn how to support your body. Prepare and warm the body for a paddle. How to move and stretch after a paddle. Less about philosophy, more about movement. No fancy yoga clothes needed. Mats can be loaned out if you don’t have one.

Kathy is also rather well known for her SUP Yoga classes. A combo of nature immersion, mindfulness, purposeful movement and a large dollop of play. If the conditions and timings are suitable, then a SUP yoga session on Ullswater can be included in the trip. One warning though… It’s rather addictive and can leave you with a huge beaming smile on your face, and laughter that echoes around the valleys.

We will be camping in the heart of the Lake District.

Don’t own a tent? Not a problem, we do have a few that can be borrowed (you will however need to bring your own sleeping bag and mat). Everyone will have access to their own tent unless they are from the same household and are happy to share together. Full kit list will be emailed to you after booking on.

All our trips are self-catered. We will bring cooking equipment for you to use if you prefer to cook for yourself back at camp or decide to cook as a group. Our chosen campsite has a pub on-site offering bacon/sausage rolls in the morning for breakfast and delicious evening meals.

Paddling Equipment:

You ideally need to have your own equipment to join us this trip. Your paddleboard should ideally be appropriate for paddling long distances and in chop. If you are unsure if your board is suitable for this trip get in contact with us. You must have a coiled leash and buoyancy aid/PFD. Full kit list will be emailed to you after booking on.
