More details below about this.

Prepare to be blown away by incredible views, paddle boarding through some of Norway's longest and deepest fjords. The relaxed pace of this trip will allow you to fully appreciate being out in nature, take in some spectacular views (including cascading waterfalls and snow covered mountains), and learn about expedition paddling.

Ability level:

We will be paddling 10 to 15 km a day with boards fully loaded with expedition kit. In this environment the weather conditions can change very quickly, so please be prepared to paddle in potentially windy/choppy conditions and against the tide. There are also big boats cruising through the fjords which can create chop.

Expedition Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrival day in Bergen. We will meet you at Bergen Airport to collect your bags and help you get to your accommodation for the evening.

Day 2:

We will take the train across Norway (offering some stunning scenery) to get to the put-on for our expedition. The van carrying all our kit will meet us at the campsite where we will set up camp for the night. Once camp is ready, we will head out on to the water for a short evening paddle.

Day 3:

We will pack up camp and start our three day expedition through the longest, deepest and largest fjords in Norway. Our next campsite is home to the smallest stave church in Norway. The village is also famous for its goats cheese, produced using traditional methods - you can buy pizzas here made with THE goats cheese.

Day 4:

This is the longest day of paddling during the expedition and also the most stunning! Today we will have the fjords towering above us at heights of over a 1000 meters tall and throughout the day you will see why this place is listed as a UESCO World Heritage. There will be plenty of time to explore the waterfalls that cascade down the fjords and even the opportunity to swim under one.

Day 5:

Final day of the expedition. Waking up the heart of the fjords, we will now be paddling through the narrowest part of the fjords on our journey. Our expedition will end at the Viking village "Njardarheimr" this means the home dedicated to the northern/Norwegian god Njord father to Freya and god of sea faring, fishing and wealth. A perfect place to finish our saga.

Day 6:

Before heading back to Bergen we have a chance to go for one final paddle in the fjords from the campsite. You will return to Bergen via bus/train. Once back in Bergen you will be able to see some of the sights of this beautiful city.

Day 7:

Departure day. Time to fly home, we will help to get you and your equipment back to the airport.
